“Toll Plaza will remain tax free for Jammuities till our next Press conference”: Yuva Rajput Sabha

Jammu: The members of Yuva Rajput Sabha yesterday claimed that the Sarore toll plaza on Jammu-Pathankot National highway in Samba will remain tax free means Jammuities will not have to pay the toll fee till their next press conference in Jammu.

Several members of Yuva Rajput lodged a protest at the Sarore toll plaza in Samba against the toll fee being taken by local authorities from the local vehicle owners stating that the road from Jammu to Kathua is dilapidated and in view of damaged Tarnah bridge the toll tax is illegal.

“How  will the poor people of Jammu will pay the taxes?. The govt is generating electricity from our water bodies and selling it to other states.

“How will the local downtrodden will pay such high electricity tariffs as the majority of people here is financially weak.

“Where is our 25 elected representatives of BJP whom people have given power. They will know their place when  they will lose in elections”, Questioned, Mr Toni Singh, Vice-president of Yuva Rajput Sabha Jammu.

“We will let not outsiders to rule Jammu. Our elected representatives should stand with people in these issues.

“If these leaders won’t support people then they  won’t get votes instead they should resign from their posts and should support people.

“There are three burning issues such as Toll plaza tax, Smart meters, Heritage complex Mubarak Mandi in Jammu which people are facing.

“The members of Yuva Rajput Sabha today has begin a protest against the Sarore toll plaza which was lead by our vice-president.

“Our former vice-president Mr Rajan Singh Happy also headed the protest at the Sarore toll plaza.

“We have talked with Samba administration and we have been assured by the authorities that no toll fee will be deducted from any vehicle passing through the Sarore toll plaza till our next next conference and any further action by the govt.

“If any person faces any problem at the Sarore toll plaza they can contact Yuva Rajput Sabha.

“The LG sir say that people of J&K live in lavish houses and have iphones. But he forgot that he also live in a lavish accommodation belonging to our Maharaja Hari Singh.

“The LG sir is staying in the Raj Bhawan paying Rs 1000 per month rent which is also pending since a decade.

“If LG sir don’t consider J&K militancy affected state then he should conduct elections. There are people since 1947 and 1990 here whose conditions are worse.

“The electricity polls is on our private properties and not on govt owned land. We have provided our lands for govt use still taxes are being imposed on us.

“We will only pay one tax. The govt should stop the burglaries that are going in J&K. This is our victory.

“We will come on roads when people of Jammu will suffer and we will not anyone  display hooliganism here.

“The YRS is ready for sacrifices here. The local govt should work for people instead of harassing them”, allegedly said by a member of YRS.
