Days ahead of Independence Day, full dress rehearsals held in Jammu

Jammu: Ahead of the 76th Independence day celebrations on August 15, a full dress rehearsal was held in Samba’s Rani Suchet Singh Stadium amid tight security by District administration Samba on Sunday morning.

The J&K police as well as local schools parade contingent was seen diligently rehearsing for their upcoming participation for the upcoming freedom day.

The children of different local schools rehearsed cultural performances on the tunes of patriotic songs in the presence of chief Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Vikas Dubey who took the salute and SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, Addl. SSP Samba Surinder Chaudhary at the Rani Suchet Singh Stadium with patriotic fervour and passion.

“I’m very fortunate to have this opportunity to speak in the presence of my administrative colleagues and others.

“Our country after two days will complete 76 years of independence. We attained this freedom 76 years ago in tough situations and after hard labour.

“Today I pay my humble respects to all those freedom fighters who have contributed in Indian’s independence.

“It is because of them that we are living in a free country. If today we think to make India world leader, a leading economy all this become possible by their sacrifices for the country”, asserted,  Additional Deputy Commissioner Samba, Vikas Dubey on the occasion.
