Several injured in fatal road accident in Jammu

Jammu:
In a tragic road accident, several people sustained injuries when a speeding tipper truck hit a Matador at Kalibadi chowk in Kathua in Jammu on Saturday.

As per report, the mishap took place when a matador carrying 18-19 passengers going to Kathua from Dalhoti village got hit by a speeding tipper truck when it reached  at  kalibadi chowk in Kathua, following which nine people got hurt in the mishap.

After the mishap, the local people and police evacuated the wounded victims to GMC Kathua for the treatment.

“A speeding tipper truck came and hit the matador at Kalibadi chowk. There were 18-19 people in the vehicle.

“I’m hurt and also several passengers”, a local man said.

“We came from Dalhoti and was heading towards Kathua and when we reached here then a passenger left the matador.

“After which a speeding tipper came and directly hit us. There were 19-20 passengers on board and half of them are hurt.

“Local people came and they lifted the overturned vehicle then police also came. Those who are injured they have been taken to hospital”, said, Mr Sunil Singh, Conductor of the matador.

“A matador met with a mishap. There are nine people who came to us. We are conducting their medical tests and then we can apprise about their injuries.

“All the victims are conscious and there is no need to panic”, a woman doctor of GMC Kathua said.
