Operation Drug Free in J&K: Police attaches property of drug smuggler
J&K: Baramulla police in its ongoing operation against drug peddling, has registered 198 cases under NDPS Act and arrested 305 drug peddlers & attached property of drug smugglers worth lacs during the current year
305 drug smugglers including 45 most wanted drug smugglers, have been booked under NDPS Act while as 35 habitual drug peddlers have been booked under PIT- NDPS/PSA. Police has recovered contraband worth Crores (value of contraband in black market).

Besides Baramulla Police has attached properties worth 68.05 lacs of drug smugglers which includes 2 houses, 2 vehicles & cash to the tune of Rs. 41.72 lacs in Pattan, Kreeri & Kamalkote.
Moreover SAFEM (FOP) A & NDPSA, New Delhi confirmed attachment of property (Illegal acquired property by Drug Smugglers) orders of Baramulla Police at Pattan & Kreeri in which house and vehicle was attached
Baramulla Police is committed to act tough against the drug smugglers and with regard to attachment of moveable/ immovable property which has been raised/ used for Illicit Trafficking by the drug smugglers in the district.
General People of the district are requested to come forward with the information of drug peddlers in their areas (identify will be kept confidential) in order to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of strong Police Public relationship.
