Police arrested notorious drug smuggler in Jammu

Jammu: Continuing its efforts to eradicate drug smuggling in Jammu the Samba police has arrested a notorious drug supplier and hardcore criminal from Samba yesterday.
As per report, in order to curb illegal drug smuggling the Samba police after raiding several hideouts of the hardcore criminal and narcos supplier arrested the culprit in Samba.

The hard core criminal has been identified as code name ‘DC’ s/o Basheer r/o Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur of Samba.
“Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Police has arrested hardcore criminal code name “DC”, who was one of the prime accused involved in attack on Vijaypur Police party near Rakh Barotian on 6th of April, 2023″, Samba Police tweeted.
There accused was booked under 307, 382, 353, 332, 336, 147, 148 of the IPC at Vijay police station in Samba.
The arrest was made by SHO Vijaypur Tribhuwan Khajuria, PSI Deepika Jalotra under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar DySP G.R Bharadwaj and over all supervision of Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
On 6 April, a gang of 8 drug peddlers attacked Vijaypur police party in which the accused was also involved who also assaulted the police personnels.
There also numerous NDPS cases registered against the accused in different police stations of Samba district.
