J&K police issues important Advisory for vehicle owners

The Srinagar Police on Monday have asked local vehicle owners to remove the  tinted films affixed on their vehicles with immediate effect.

As per report, owners of cars, jeeps and other motor vehicles tinted films on windscreens and window panes have been asked to remove them immediately in compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court of 2011.

The Srinagar City Police has told the masses to ensure compliance with the court diktat failing which their vehicles will seized and a legal action will follow against the violator after it.

“All vehicle owners are instructed to immediately remove tinted films from all glasses, failing which vehicle will be seized & legal action will follow. No film of any transparency is allowed at all as per Hon’ble Supreme Court judgment in Writ Petition (civil ) no 265 of 2011”. Srinagar Police tweeted.
