Jammu-Kashmir: Man shoots self with service rifle
A J&K Police constable posted at a hotel in Srinagar’s Rajbagh area allegedly died by suicide by shooting himself last night.
According to the report, Abdul Hameed Mir, a constable of J-K Police at around 8pm yesterday shot himself with his service rifle and wounded himself critically in a hotel in Rajbagh area of Srinagar, where he was posted.

After the incident the wounded constable was rushed to a local health facility but pronounced as dead on arrival as he succumbed on the way when he being taken to hospital.
The police has registered a case and a probe is on.
