Locals demand exemption of Toll tax in Jammu

Jammu: Several locals in Jammu demanded toll tax on Kathua Toll plaza and Sarore Toll plaza to exempted  because the Tarnah bridge which is known as Jammu-Pathankot National Highway and situated in Hiranagar area of Kathua  is not being used by the commuters as it is damaged by the recent flash floods on 19 July.

The locals has raised the demand to the local dispensation  to waive off the toll tax on toll plazas keeping in view the damaged Tarnah bridge road cause the locals has claimed that they are not using the bridge’s road which used to lessen the distance from Kathua to Jammu city.

The locals are now compelled to take diversions to travel to Jammu city from Kathua which is taking four hours normally as compared to 1.5-2 hours earlier.
