Bomb Scare Triggers Panic on Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express

Panic gripped the passengers on board Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express  following reports of the presence of bomb in the train sending the security personnel into a tizzy last night.

According to the  report, the incident came to fore when news came that there is a bomb in  the train  after  which it was halted at Sonipat railway station of Harayana for 2-2:30hours . All passengers were made to deboard the train and the bomb disposal squad pressed into service to check all suspicious boxes and baggage.  The train was coming to Jammu from Delhi.

According to Northern Railway CPRO Deepak Kumar, the train was halted at  Sonipat railway station at 11:40pm after which an Ambulance, Fire-brigade, Railway police, Railway protection force and officers was called on the spot and  they launched a search operation.

However, when the search of the train was conducted the bomb squad found nothing in it, while all the passengers were reportedly declared as safe and later the train left for its  scheduled destination.
