           Jammu: Woman commits suicide by jumping into river

Jammu: A woman allegedly committed suicide on Saturday by jumping into river Chenab in Doda district of Jammu division.
According to the report, the incident happened at around 8-8:30am when a woman reached at Pul Doda and jumped into the Chenab river.
The woman has been identified as Renu Devi , 32, w/o Ram Krishan, a resident of Punyalla village of Gundana block of Doda district.
After the incident the SDRF and local police reached at the scene and launched a rescue operation there, but due to rise in water level because of constant rains the victim’s body has not been fished out. However the rescue operation is still going in, the report said.
