Thief allegedly burgled vendor in Jammu

Jammu:  In an startling incident, an ice-vendor was allegedly burgled by a man faking as customer last night in Jammu.

According to the report, the incident occurred when a man impersonating as a customer came in a white car and bought ice-cream from him, but as soon as the ice-cream seller got engaged with other customers the accused fled away with his mobile worth of Rs 16,000.

“He brought ice cream and told me to give my mobile to scan the QR code to pay the money.

“Meanwhile I got busy with other customers then suddenly he ran away with my phone. I can’t saw his vehicle’s registration number due to customers.

“My phone was worth of Rs 16000. He bought Rs 80-100 ice-cream from me and when I began attended other customers he escaped with my mobile.

“It was a small white car. I bought the mobile after working hard for two months. He is a local Sikh man”, the ice-cream vendor said.
