Hard core criminal arrested in Jammu

Jammu: Continuing their crackdown on drugs and criminals the Samba police has arrested hard core criminal with criminal history including an attempt to murder, arms act and drug peddling on Wednesday in Samba
According to the report, the Samba police prepared a dossier and got permission from DC Samba Abhishek Sharma then Samba police team lead by Addl. SP Surinder Chaudhary went to Ranjni village in Samba, where the accused was nabbed red-handed smuggling heroin and booked under the under Public Safety Act (PSA).

The accused has been identified as Balwinder Singh alias Goru Jatt s/o Swaran Singh r/o Raya Ranjni of Samba.
The arrest was made by SHO Vijaypur police station Tribhuwan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO Rohit Kumar and under the over all supervision of Addl. SP Surinder Chaudhary.
The accused had been supplying heroin to addicted youths in the area and was also involved in Birpur firing incident. The culprit also had links with many peddlers in many areas.
The smuggler has been apprehended many times earlier and used to get out of prison on bails and finally he has been booked under PSA by the Samba police taking cognisance the nature of his criminal record.
