Brazen thief steals money from man in hospital in Jammu

In a shocking incident a man has alleged that a pickpocket steal money from a him when he was waiting in SMGS hospital queue in Shalamar of Jammu yesterday.

According to the report, the incident happened in Sri Maharaja Gulab Singh Hospital           (SMGS) in Shalamar when the victim was standing in a queue outside hospital’s lab to collect blood sample of his ailing wife, and after taking it when he slide his hand in the pocket where he kept the cash he found cash burgled and pocket cut.

“I’m resident of Tehsil Latti in Udhampur district. My wife was unwell so I admitted her here on July 1.

“On July 6, I submitted her blood samples in  lab no.12 of  hospital. A woman staff told me to collect the samples at 10am in the morning.

“I went there at the given time but she reached at 10:30am. There were 5-6 people standing in queue with me. I took the report and went down stairs.

“There was a boy with me I thought of buying tea for ourselves but the moment I slide my hand in my pocket it went across the pocket’s cloth.

“He has cut my pocket and ransacked Rs 15,000 from it. There were  thirty notes of 500 each. I didn’t felt anything. I kept the thirty five hundred notes in a shopper.

“We have registered a complaint at the police station. When I left with no money I borrowed from someone to treat my wife and I requested ward members to give me food for two days.

“I’m a poor man” the victim man told media.
