Man gets fired from job in Jammu, expresses sorrow

Jammu: In an startling incident, a man found badly weeping and expressing sorrow on stairs of a bank, who was fired from his job for taking leave from the bank situated in Residency road in Jammu, where he was working as a peon.
Speaking to the media, the victim, Mr Balwinder Kumar, allegedly, said,” My employer Kotak Mahindra Bank has fired me from the job.

“I took leave for a day as my wife was unwell then for two days the bank was closed, but when I came back I saw another man in my place.
“I arranged a man also in my absence, my phone was not working. I have been working for one and half years in this bank.
“They mailed and informed me that I have been fired from the job. I have also apologised but they didn’t took me back nor they are even employing me anywhere.
“They have even paid me less salary. I will commit suicide” Mr Kumar narrated weeping.
“I just took off for a day and they dismissed me from the job. I was employed by Ultimate company by a contractor.
“I was shifted from Bakshi Nagar to here. If we had to take an off we have to arrange a replacement for them”, he added, crying.
“A notice is surmised to be given prior a month before firing a person. I’m also a media person.
“They should also come here for once to see his condition. There are laws and they can’t just kick someone from job”, a woman media-person said.
“I have also complained to labour court”, he said, sobbing.
Later, a man emerged from the crowd of spectators and offered job to the victim at site of incident.
