Jammu: Several shops damaged in incident

Jammu: Several shops got damaged on Sunday after a landslide occurred on highway in Chakrara area of Tehsil Mandi of Poonch district.
As per sources, the landslide took place in the Chakrara area of Poonch on the highway in which five shops belonging to two local man got damaged. However, there was no report of any casualty to anyone in the incident.

“We bought this land and built five shops here. Two of the shops have been sold to a man namely Khalil Ahmed.
“It is the negligence of road contractor and concerned department because of them this landslide has occurred.
“I have suffered loss as my hardware goods in the shop has come under the debris of landslide.
“We haven’t suffered any casualty. I have suffered loss of Rs 15 lakh approximately due to this incident. I have also taken loan from bank”, Owner of the shops said.
