Police arrested dozen thief in Jammu

Jammu:
Continuing their surgical strike against thieves in Jammu the police has arrested dozen thieves in Samba and recovered stolen items  from them.

According to the report, the Samba police in their intensive drive against burglars arrested 12 burglars from different jurisdiction of Samba, one among the nabbed thieves is an Jal Shakti department employee, the Supwal police team has claimed that they have apprehended 7 , while 2 were arrested by Bari  Brahmana and 3 were nabbed by Samba police teams.

The police has also seized two cars from them used in the commission of crime and has also solved three theft cases.

The hardcore thieves nabbed by police has been identified as s Umesh Pangotra (an employee of Jal Shakti Department) r/o Chander Mohan r/o Gobind Puli Vijaypur, Rahul Manjotra alias Lalli s/o Baljeet Kumar r/o Ward No-6, Vijaypur, Sawan Manjotra s/o Tejinder Manjotra r/o Ward No-4 Vijaypur, Randeep Singh alias Rinku s/o  Kuldeep Singh r/o Barian, Samba, Manish Khajuria s/o Mahesh Raj r/o Bara, Samba, Varinder Sharma alias Bantu s/o Om Parkash r/o Utterbehni, Shail Massi s/o Rafiq Massi r/o W.No.7 near Shiv Mandir, Bishnah, district Jammu, Anooj Negi, s/o Kuldeep Singh Negi r/o Dhivivya Vihar, Rajive Nagar Dehradun, A/P Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Irshad Ahmed s/o Mohammad Saleem r/o W.No 8, Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Mehboob Akhter s/o Shamas Din r/o Dodla tehsil Basohli district Kathua at present Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana, Alex Matoo s/o Kenny Matoo r/o Teli Basti, Bari Brahmana and Joginder Paul s/o Kenthu Ram Sharma r/o Ward No-13 Samba.

The seven thieves were arrested under the supervision of PSI Supwal Deepika Jalotra, while two were nabbed by SHO Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma’s police team and three were apprehended by SHO Samba, Rajeshwar Singh.

SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has said that Samba police’s intensive drive against burglars is still continue and till now they have arrested 98 thieves and solved 49 theft cases and has recovered goods worth lakhs.
