Woman killed, several injured in Road accident in Jammu

Jammu: A tragic road mishap has killed a woman and injured several others when a car in which they were travelling met with an accident at Rohi Morh in Indra Nagar, Jammu last night.
According to the report, the mishap occurred at Rohi Morh in Indra Nagar when a speeding vehicle hit a car, following which a woman died on the spot and five others suffered wounds, when they were returning home after attending a ‘Bhagwad Gita Katha’ recital.

“They were returning after attending Katha and when they reached at Rohi Morh a vehicle came and hit them”, said, Mr Ravinder Raina.

“The lady who has lost her life is Lalita Devi of Rohi Morh she was 51 years of age. There were 5-7 people in the vehicle.
“Three kids are injured in this mishap and a woman who is gravely hurt has been referred to Amritsar.
“We don’t know how this accident took place they were returning back at 11-11-30pm in the night then a vehicle came & hit them.
“The probe is on and it will tell about the vehicle, their relatives are with them inside the hospital.
“This is big mishap there is no one to help us”, a man said.
“No, one from the administration has come here however the local police is cooperating with us”, Mr Ravinder Raina added.
“In the CCTV footage there, a small car can be seen going but it’s not enough to identify the vehicle the police is doing its work”, he said.
