Amarnath Yatris in Jammu expressed excitement for holy pilgrimage

Jammu: Hundreds of Amarnath pilgrims have reached in Jammu to begin their much awaited two month long pilgrimage to the Amarnath  cave shrine from here to Kashmir from July 1 onwards.

Enthusiastic about Amarnath cave shrine trek scores of devotees have arrived here & are staying at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas from where they will begin their journey towards the holy Amarnath shrine in Kashmir tomorrow.

“I have come from Ghaziabad this is my second time of Yatra. We’re so excited for the holy excursion.

“It’s been three days since we’re here and the weather is too hot”, said, Mr Dhruv, a devotee from Ghaziabad.

“We are enthusiastic for the pilgrimage and have made cards for it, we’re waiting for our entry”, said, Seema another devotee.

“We’re so excited and made necessary arrangements for the holy shrine’s trek and have brought warm clothes with us”, said, Akash Verma.

“I’m from Saharanpur and excited for the holy journey. I have come for the first time, facilities are not good here.

“Drinking water is not available here and we have been standing in queues”, said, a woman pilgrim.

“This is my second time and security arrangements are more good. The devotees should be patient as govt is introducing new things for us each year”, a devotee said.

This year, security has been further heightened for the yatra following terrorist attacks  in J&K as scores of fresh bunkers have been set up on the yatra route and also at the Yatris Niwas in J-K to keep terrorists at bay.
