Road accident kills woman in Jammu

Jammu: In a tragic incident, a woman got killed in a road accident at Dogra Chowk in Jammu on Monday.
According to the report, the mishap happened when a speeding Matador (JK02A44351) came from behind and after hitting a woman at Dogra Chowk, ran over its tyre over the woman’s head, following which she passed away on the spot.
The matador plies on Janipur-Bari Brahmana route.

After the accident the matador driver was trying to flee the spot of mishap, but got nabbed by the alert police personnel there.

“I don’t know about the matter the lady was getting off the vehicle then a matador came & hit her.
“The driver was attempting to escape after hitting the woman but police caught him. They have taken him to jail”, an eyewitness of the accident said.
