Men arrested for domestic violence in Jammu

Jammu:
A case of domestic violence has appeared in which two men who badly thrashed their wives in an inebriated state has been arrested in Samba area of Jammu yesterday.

According to the report, the arrests were made when two men cruelly thrashed their wives in Ramgarh and Badwani areas of Samba, after which they were nabbed.

One of the accused is a Special Police Officer (SPO) namely Ravi Kumar s/o Madan Lal r/o Swankha, Ramgarh of Samba, whose wife namely Shallu Devi has suffered kick, baton and severe blunt injuries and is hospitalised at GMC, Jammu, while the other accused is an auto driver namely  Ajmer Singh s/o Jagdish Singh r/o Badwani of Samba, whose wife namely Rajni Sambyal has sustained right arm fracture and is under treatment in hospital.

Both of the accused men have beaten their wives under the influence of liquor and have been apprehended by Samba police and are being interrogated.

SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has given specific directions to SDPOs, SHOs, Police station Incharges to probe and take stringent action against wife beaters in Samba.
