1 killed in road accident in Jammu

Jammu: In a tragic road accident, a man lost his life when he got hit by a speeding vehicle in Nanak Chak area of Samba on Saturday.
The report said that a man namely Surjeet Kumar s/o  Puran Chand r/o Pathankot of Punjab was walking on the road in Nanak Chak of Samba, when a speeding vehicle came from behind and hit him, leaving him badly hurt.

After the mishap, the victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but passed away on the way.

The police arrived at the scene of accident after the mishap and has taken the body of the deceased in their custody and has initiated a probe, the report said.
