J&K: Females peddler along with male arrested by police

Continuing its crackdown against drug trafficking, Srinagar Police achieved major success by arresting two females drug peddlers including one male peddler and recovered drugs from them in Sopore area of Srinagar on Saturday.

According to the report, the two drug peddlers were going to  Sopore’s Amargarh village and another one was going to other opposite direction, but all three were arrested by alert police personnel police at Sangrama when they were trying to flee suspiciously. The police has recovered a nylon bag from them, in which they were carrying drugs.

The women drug peddlers have been identified as Parveen Kaunsar r/o of Sidra of Jammu and Shabnam Begum r/o  Akherwani Wulutra Rafiabad of Kashmir.

While the male drug peddler has been identified as Abdul Latief Gujjar r/o Doda.

Srinagar police is working intensively to uproot the chains of drug supply in the region and have asked locals to help police if anyone find any smuggling activity in their area.
