Teacher held for girl’s sexual assault in J&K

A Government teacher has been arrested on Thursday in Budgam area of Kashmir for sexually assaulting a seventh class student.
According to the report, the matter came to fore when the girl’s father lodged a complaint against the accused at a police station in Budgam and said the suspect harassed his daughter in the school.

Acting on the girl’s father complaint the police apprehended the govt teacher.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Rasheed Mir, RReT High School Rawalpora Zone Hardpanzoo.
The suspect has been booked under section 354 (A) (sexual assault) and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
