Motivational: Meet shopkeeper’s son from Jammu who qualified NEET exam

Arush Gupta, a student of International Delhi Public School Jammu (IDPS), has qualified the much coveted National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam scoring 679/720. His rank stands at 1803 in AIR.
Interacting with JK Media, Arush, said, “Everybody do hard work and I also did there’s limit of our hard labour and without God’s grace we can’t do anything”.

“I thank Almighty for this success and my school also which maintained a home like milieu, class 11 and 12 is very stressful and it’s a big thing if a school provides stress free environment during that.

“IDPS have fulfilled my needs like if I told my teachers that I need time for my assignments they agreed and told me to take my time.
“Like that I managed my studies, my family members along with my coaching teachers supported me alot in my preparation and my achievement.
“Yes, my father runs a chemist shop but that didn’t encourage to pursue NEET as he never let me in the shop.
“During covid when I told him to atleast let me work in shop he told me to focus on NEET as for once if I came in business line then I will become restless to earn.
“Since my childhood my family encouraged me to opt civil services but around 8-9 class, I began to develop interest for medical stream.
“I’m so glad cause since his infancy he is so arduous and we are so elevated if he choose this field”, said Arush’s father, Mr Vishal Gupta.
“This profession is very noble as it’s a social work”, he added.
“I can’t express my happiness as my son has choose a noble profession and his hard work paid off”, His mother said.
“I want him to become good doctor and serve people” she added.
“Since the beginning we had this feeling for Arush that he will do something big, he is good in singing, acting.
“Every child has some talent but he has an x-factor. In IDPS we pay special attention to student’s particular area of interest and help them to excel in it.
“Our principal and teachers are very dedicated and today he has made all of us proud”, said Ms. Suman Pal Kour, Arush’s teacher.
“My school teachers like Tarun sir and Ekta mam provided me a calm milieu, but my coaching teachers aided me much more.
“As I said that I began to lose faith in myself and used to say that NEET is beyond my league cause our classes were also online, we couldn’t study much.
“Our teachers had faith in us. My coaching center’s physics teacher Parveen sir motivated me alot along with Ashutosh, Anand sir and Jyoti mam all helped me”, he said.
Lastly, the NEET qualifier recited Ramayan’s famous Chaupai.
