      Jammu: Man arrested for killing relative on Facebook, in few hours

Jammu: A man has been arrested for allegedly murdering his relative and critically wounding victim’s daughter and grand-daughter on Facebook while streaming the ghastly act on Facebook live in Gandoh area of Doda last night in just few hours of the incident by Doda police.
According to the report, the murderer Bharov Singh, was taken into custody after he allegedly killed his elder sibling namely Ram Singh native of Gandoh village of Doda in presence of victim’s daughter and grand-daughter.

After getting information of the incident, Adil Hussain, SDPO Gandoh and Inspr Vikram Singh, SHO PS Gandoh along with a Police posse rushed to the spot and after hectic efforts arrested the accused person from the Gandoh woods. The accused person while being apprehended wounded himself with the axe he was carrying.

An FIR No 55/2023 under sec 302,307 ,342 has been registered in Police station Gandoh and investigation set into motion.
Prima facie the incident seems to have happened on some old family disputes and grudges between two groups. Intitally there were some heated arguments on the dispute of stones extraction which later led to the incident of murderous attack. However ,probe of the case is going on and the evidence is being gathered by police.
