                 Woman injured in incident in Jammu

Jammu: A woman suffered critical wounds when a wall of a building being demolished fell on her in Jammu’s New Plot area yesterday.
As per report, the incident occurred when the woman was walking on the pavement in New Plot and on reaching near an under construction shop the wall of the shop’s first floor suddenly  collapsed on her and she came under its debris.

However, later she was rushed her to GMC Jammu for the treatment.

Pertinent to mention that there were no signboards cautioning that there is construction works going on for the pedestrians, which could have averted the tragedy, the report said.
“I was standing inside the gym suddenly the wall fell on her, but surprisingly nobody came to her rescue people were only recording the incident”, an eyewitness, a local gym owner said.
“Her leg got separated from her upper body. I called an auto and sent her to the hospital along with her separated leg”, he added.
“There was construction work going on and the wall suddenly fell on her there were also kids but they were saved”, he said.
The fright incident was also captured by the CCTV cameras installed in the area.
