“Our mother became paralysed and she became bed-ridden. She passed away on 8th may and our last financial source stopped. He was a very religious person and a sober man”, she added.

“On Monday she received a call from Nagrota police station that your brother-in-law has committed suicide, we dearly call him Anku but his real name is Ramesh”, she limned.

“She was shocked as how he can I called my relatives in Barnai to visit Jagti but they told me to go there and we’re coming”, she further said.

“In the evening he came and my sister-in-law was in her room and Ramesh went to his”, she narrated.

“When we went to Jagti to our flat we found another lock on our flat’s room along with us then we informed police and they came and said that the person who has killed Ramesh has put this lock”, she alleged.

“Then does that mean he is killed for this apartment. Someday they can also murder his sister-in-law saying she has killed herself to possess our flat”, she accused.

“We just demand justice for our brother”, she demanded.

“If the relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner’s department might have locked our flat then they would have served us a notice, but how come this lock was put on Sunday”, Seema another sister of the deceased asked.

“We went to our flat to take stuff but we saw it twice locked we thought as there is a police probe going on they might have padlocked our flat, but they didn’t”, she said.

“The Nagrota police has said that the killer might have locked our flat this is the first case in Jagti that people are being killed here for flats”, she accused.
