          Earthquake tremors felt in parts of Jammu and Kashmir
An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted Jammu and Kashmir with people running out of their homes for safety.
As per sources, the earthquake hit in Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region, at a depth of 220 kilometres.

There was no immediate report of any damage due to the quake, which was felt in Jammu and Kashmir and in some states of North India.
