The Kerala Story row: More GMC Jammu medical students rusticated over scuffle

Jammu: The Kerala Story row over GMC Jammu fracas has unfolded new developments as the  Disciplinary Committee of Government Medical College and Hospital have rusticated two more medical students for their alleged indulgence in the scuffle happened between two group of students within the hostel premises recently.

On 15th May, the GMC Jammu’s Disciplinary committee  rusticated ten medical students through an order issued by the Principal of the GMC Hospital, Dr Shashi Sudan, they were also prohibited from taking classes.

However, the Jammu police had registered two FIRs in the case following the fracas. Twelve students have been rusticated till now.

The officials told media that they identified two more medical students in their probe and rusticated them, further inquiry into the incident is still going on.

After the tussle, the police posse was deployed in the hostel and the GMC Jammu to prevent such incidents and to maintain the decorum.

On 14th May, a scuffle broke out between the two group of students inside the GMC Jammu Boys hostel over ‘The Kerala Story’ film, leaving five students hurt.
