“After which a scuffle broke between the Hindus and Muslims students of the hostel over the film, resulting in injuries to two students of the religious groups, who are now at GMC receiving treatment”, he added.

“The moment Gourav ji told me about the mishap, we went there and saw that the situation was normal”, he further said.

“I was advising our boys both of them fought with each other, so there will be counter complaints against each other in police station”, he asserted.

“I was consulting the boys to not do police complaint, but in the meantime a crowd of hundred people came at GMC from Maheshpura side to the boys hostel”, he alleged.

“When they saw my parked car they said who are these people, they were searching stones to attack and there 2-3 police personnel with them”, he accused.

“I took my stand there they came to beat a student, we rescued him and sent him to his home as his mother was calling him”, he said.

“We know how we rescued that student if we would have wanted to fan this matter, we would have done that as we believe in law not in lawlessness”, he claimed.

“The clash was about to happen there but the police intervened”, he added.

“They were saying you’re outsiders and were abusing us while shouting we want justice, they were asking who said ‘Jai Shri Ram'”, a local youth said.

“They were abusing Hindu gods and goddesses. Now we’re worried about our students who’re less in numbers in the hostel”, he added.

“It’s just a movie and should be seen like that. A man just shared the film’s link and it created a ruckus and hundred people gathered”, a boy said.

“I haven’t watched the movie and only after seeing it we can know what has been shown, the students from different area of J&K came here to gain education to become doctors and not to fight, they should stand for humanity”, the ward councillor, Mr Gaurav Chopra, said.

“The medical students never taught to do discrimination with patients on the basis of religion during their medical practice, but today the situation in J-K has worsened”, he added.

“It is the job of authorities to not let such issues erupt, we have talked to SHO Bakshi Nagar, and have also talked with students”, he said.

“It should be probed by the police who provoked whom first, I appeal to police to identify the students ,who want to make it Hindu-Muslim issue and god knows how we escaped”, Mr Chandan said.
