Youth found mysteriously dead in Jammu

Jammu: A student has been found dead in his hostel room under mysterious circumstances at Government Degree College (GDC) in Kathua in Jammu on Friday.
According to the report, the incident came to the fore when a classmate of the student saw the victim’s body in the boys hostel room of the GDC Kathua this morning, where the deceased was staying.
After the incident, the police was called at the scene of incident and launched a probe.

The deceased has been identified as Arun Kumar resident of Pathankot of Punjab, who was studying in GDC Kathua.

“Probe is on in this matter, he is a student namely Arun Kumar from Pathankot, investigation is going on”, A police officer told media briefly while going through site of incident.
“We had our assignment of literature I thought we will go together, when I went to his room and knocked at his door, he didn’t opened it”, a classmate of the victim told media.
“I thought he might be sleeping it was around 9:30am or it can be around 9:15am as I didn’t note the time, then I returned to my room”, he added.
“Second time I again went to his room but he didn’t opened it, I didn’t took it seriously cause our assignment was at 11:20am”, he claimed.
“When I went to his room for the third time, I peeked through the window and found him hanging from the fan, I didn’t believed it at first”, he remarked.
“I called another student and told him to see through the door as it is what I was seeing”, he asserted.
“We called our college’s president as he used to deal with issues here, he informed the warden, who then called the police”, he said.
