Police arrests men for illegal sale of cement in Jammu
Jammu: Under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, the Police has arrested three men including a Manager for breach of trust and illegal sale of Ultra Tech cement, which was “not for retail sale” and seized 120 bags with vehicle in the presence of Magistrate in Samba on Monday.
As per sources, during the patrolling, a police party of police station Bari Brahmana found one vehicle suspiciously transporting cement to one under construction house. On checking and verifying in the presence of Executive Magistrate First Class, it revealed that 120 cement bags bearing mark “not for retail sale” were illegally sold/misappropriated committing breach of trust, cheating and criminal conspiracy and therefore had been seized.

The arrested accused persons have been identified as Bag Hussain s/o Alam Din r/o Mahi Chak of Kathua (who was a private manager), Dwarka Nath s/o Sain Das r/o Khara Tehsil Bari Brahmana of Samba and Pawan Kumar s/o Som Nath r/o Patli Morh Tehsil Bari Brahmana of Samba.
A case FIR No. 109/2023 u/s 409/420/120-B IPC has been registered at police station Bari Brahmana and further investigation is going on.
The accused were arrested by a team of police officials comprising of PSI Shammi and PSI Mohd. Aslam under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
