Jammu: A case of sacrilege came to light yesterday from Rani Talab Gurudwara in Digiana area of Jammu, in which connection a woman has been arrested by Digiana police, when she was allegedly seen disrespectfully lifting the Rumala Sahib (the sacred cloth around the holy book) from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and throwing it back disgracefully.
The anguished locals of the community were seen protesting against the woman for the sacrilege done by her outside the Digiana police station in Jammu, demanding her imprisonment and resisting her release.

“We’re not panicked, we just want our men to be present with the women when her medical test will be done”, one of the dissenters said facing the police officer.
“One thing is incomprehensible to me why always a deranged person only targets Gurudwara”, a native man said.
“So many cases of sacrilege are happening in Gurudwaras, why these are happening with us, we’re not saying anything to anyone”, he alleged.
“We’re not saying that such cases should happen with other religions”, he asserted.
“We don’t go against anyone instead help people. Gurudwara is such a place where all kinds of help is provided to anyone”, he said.
“I think this is the first case in Jammu and it should not be left easily”, he demanded.
“We were trying to find her, we saw her at Preet Nagar. But here at the police station she is changing her statements saying that her husband called her or some other excuse”, another protestor said.
“It is being established that she is mentally unstable but this is wrong. She is fine and has no such problem”, he added.
“We saw her doing video call when she was disrespecting Sri Guru Granth Sahib”, he alleged.
