Police arrests many Gamblers in Jammu

Jammu: As the IPL fever has gripped India and the J-K region, the Jammu Police last night made arrests in connection of gambling, which can be linked to the tournament.

Jammu arrested  seven gamblers and seized stake money from their possession in Sarwal area of Jammu.

According to the report, acting on specific information about gambling activities opposite Govt Boys sec. school in Sarwal, a police party headed by SDPO Jammu West Vikram Singh, SHO Bakshi Nagar Rakesh Sharma, PSI Sarwal Baljeet Singh raided the specific spot and arrested 7 gamblers on the spot.

They have been identified as Sham Lal r/o Kanak Mandi, Raju of Peer Kho, Jammu, Rahul Verma r/o Peer Kho, Rakesh Kumar r/o Pakki Dhaki, Shubam r/o Jain Bazar, Arun Kumar r/o Lakhdatta Bazaar, Sakul Kumar r/o Sarwal.

Officers have also seized stake money of Rs 60000. They have been shifted to police station . A case has been registered.
