Jammu: Major terror hideout busted

Jammu: The Ramban police busted a major terror hideout on Monday in Burzalla forest area of Khari in Ramban and recovered arms, ammunition.
As per soures, an information was received through reliable sources regarding presence of caché of arms, ammunition and related material in the far flung hilly and forested area of tehsil Khari of District Ramban.

Acting swiftly on the input, a search operation of JK Police and SOG Banihal was launched in the Burzalla forest area and suspected hideout locations were searched.
During the search police busted a terrorist hideout and ammunition among other things were recovered from the spot.
Two Rifle grenade, 1UBGL thrower, Â 1 Wireless with antenna without battery, 2 IED type with wire, 1 Detonator type with wire, 17 AK47 cartilage, 7 9mm cartilage,1Â glass bottle having glycerine type liquid,One khakhi jacket, Black leather shoe have been recovered from the spot.
In this regard, a case FIR no. 106/2023 u/s 4 Explosive Substance act has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation taken up.
The entire search operation was led by police team of Police post Khari headed by PSI Rajnish Pangotra I/C PP Khari, SOG Banihal headed by Insp Hargopal Singh, under the command of SHO Banihal Mohd Afzal Wani ,under the supervision of Nissar Khoja SDPO Banihal with the overall supervision of Ms Mohita Sharma, IPS SP Ramban.
