Police arrested man for provoking girl to commit suicide in Jammu

Jammu: The Jammu police has solved a mysterious suicide case of a young girl yesterday by arresting a man who allegedly provoked the victim to end her life in Bari Brahmana area of Samba.

As per report, The Samba police constituted a police team comprised of SI Dharam Pal, Head Constable Surjeet Singh,  headed by SHO Bari Brahmana Sunil Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO Rahul Nagar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary to know the actual cause of death of the eighteen year old girl, whose body was found hanging to ceiling fan in a rented room on 19th April, where she was staying.

In  their initial probe, the police registered the said case under section 174 of CRPC at the Bari Brahmana police station, which was later converted into section 306 of the IPC, when the police discovered that the victim was instigated to end her life by the accused.

The accused Sahil Wilson s/o Arun Wilson r/o Shivrajpur, Kanpur of U.P has been nabbed by the police for inciting the victim girl to commit suicide.

The victim had been identified as Anu Verma (18) d/o Sushil Verma r/o Markaha village, Hardoi of U.P.
