Search operation launched after suspicious movement noticed in Jammu

Jammu: The Border Security Force (BSF) personnel and the local Police  launched a search operation this morning when a suspicious movement of a  drone was sighted near the international border at Mawa village of Samba district in Jammu yesterday.

According to report, Some villagers of the Mawa village of Samba informed the BSF that they noticed a suspicious movement of a drone like object, after which BSF and Samba police launched a massive search operation to find the drone to avoid the attempts of drone dropping, but nothing suspicious was found.

Pakistan from across the border have been making back-to-back attempts to sneak in arms, ammunition and drugs into J-K through the sensitive point by using drones and other smuggling methods to unleash terror in J&K, the report said.

In Kathua’s Ramnagar near Narain Pur post, a suspicious movement was also spotted but nothing was recovered.

The BSF has tightened the security grid along the IB in Jammu to repel Pak-backed infiltrations of terrorists.

Recently, the Jammu region has witnessed many drone dropping cases in which arms, drugs and Indian currency from the drones sent by pak have been seized by the local police as well as security forces.
