Many terrorists are involved in Poonch Terror attack: Army

Jammu: The Indian army yesterday has claimed that there were 7-8 terrorists involved in the Poonch terror attack on Thursday belonging to two terrorist groups, in which five Rashtriya Rifles Jawans laid their lives and made supreme sacrifice for the country, however one who suffered critical wounds is being treated at Army hospital in Rajouri.

As per report, There were 7-8 armed terrorists who formed two groups and laid an ambush and attacked an army vehicle carrying soldiers near Tota Gali in Poonch martyring 5 on the spot and gravely injuring one.

Soon, after the attack the security forces cordoned off the whole area and launched an intensive search operation to catch the absconding terrorists.

However,  a media outlet has said that the Jaish-aided terrorist group People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) has asserted the onus of the attack.

The terror attack in Poonch has ignited widespread agitations and opprobrium from locals, as well as J-K political parties and also from the centre.

The 5 soldiers from Rashtriya Rifles who made the supreme sacrifice for the country in the attack were Havildar Mandeep Singh, Lance Naik Debashish Baswal, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Sepoy Harkrishan Singh and Sepoy Sewak Singh.
