A media outlet said that the Jaish-backed terror group People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF) has claimed the attack”. If grenades were used, would be interesting to see how. PAFF has brandished Western-made weapons sourced from Afghanistan, including L852As that have UGL systems.”

Reports said that the use of drone in the attack can’t be ruled out.

Abishek Das, a defense analyst has claimed that he is personally not discounting the use of the Kamikaze drone for the attack.

Kamikaze drone is also called the loitering munition which is an aerial weapon system category in which the munition can loiter around the target area for some time and attacks only once a target is located.

Das says that the People’s Anti-Fascist Front or PAFF; an offshoot of Jaish-e- Muhammed terrorist outfit has always been very advanced both in combat & in propaganda. “Here in this case usual suspect may be an RPG or UBL but I am personally not discounting the use of Kamikaze drone,” he said.

Meanwhile, the search operation in the vast area continued for the second day on Friday. Drones were also pressed into the service and the search operation was extended to other areas as well.

The visiting team from NIA inspected the spot of the incidence and collected samples and other required stuff.

Notably five soldiers from Rashtriya Rifles  who made the supreme sacrifice for the country in the attack were Havildar Mandeep Singh, Lance Naik Debashish Baswal, Lance Naik Kulwant Singh, Sepoy Harkrishan Singh and Sepoy Sewak Singh.
