Inspirational: Elderly woman donates husband’s body to hospital after death in Jammu

Jammu: There are people who while living saves others lives by donating something, but there are others who leave a lasting impression even after their demise.
Such a heart warming incident has been seen in Jammu, where an elderly woman has donated her husband’s body to GMC Bakshi Nagar as per his final wish.

Mrs Veena Bakshi resident of Roopnagar has gifted her partner’s body (Mr Raghunandan Bakshi) to GMC Jammu as per his last wish, so that people can take his help even afterlife.
Mr Raghunandan Bakshi passed away yesterday but he had told his family to donate his body in a hospital in Jammu, so that his organs, body can be put into use even after his demise.
“He was always helpful to people, 2-3 years ago he told me I want to donate my eyes”, said, Mrs Veena Bakshi, Mr Raghunandan’s Wife.
“But he changed his mind and told me that he will donate his body so kids can use me to learn something”, she added.
“He specially talked with Dr Sushil Sharma to apprise him the procedure of donating’s ones body to hospital”, she remarked.
“He told him that he want to donate, I also emphasised that my husband is serious for this”, she asserted.
“I don’t know anybody here and called Dr sushil and asked him do you how to donate the body”, she shared.
“He told me that he will inform me. My daughters also said to fulfill their fathers final wish”, she said.
“I also want to donate my body after my demise we could be able to help someone even after our deaths”, she claimed.
“It’s such a noble thing to do”, she further said.
“My children are wholly with me that if it’s their father desire to donate his body then we must accomplish it”, she said.
“My daughter reminded me of my husband’s last wish, on the way when we were taking his body to home”, she said.
“I told the ambulance operator that I will let him know after doctors call, I directly took him to hospital I didn’t even took down his body from the ambulance”, she added.
“It is our responsibility to do it and its a good thing”, she commented.
