Woman Dies After Being Hit by vehicle in Jammu

 


Jammu:
A 35-year-old woman died after being knocked down by a Matador at Camp Gole Gujral in Jammu yesterday.

As per report, the incident happened when the woman went outside her house and  then a speeding matador bearing registration number ‘JK02AJ5899’ came from behind and mowed her down under its wheels in Camp Gole Gujral, due to which she sustained critical wounds.

After the incident the woman was rushed to GMC Jammu for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased had been identified as Surjeet Kour, 35, w/o Inderjeet Singh r/o Camp Gole Gujral in Jammu.

While the matador driver has been identified as Deeraj Singh s/o Balvir Singh r/o Camp Gole Gujral in Jammu.

The police has registered a case into this matter and they’re analysing the CCTV footage to know the cause of the accident.

According to a latest data by J-K Traffic police, Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed as many as 76,942 road accidents between 2010 and 2022 in which 12,429 people were killed, while 1,04,983 individuals were injured.
