COVID-19 preparedness drill conducted at hospitals in Jammu
Jammu: The MCH Gandhi Nagar and GMC Bakshi Nagar on Monday conducted mock drills with regard to COVID-19 preparedness with the operationalisation of oxygen plants, ventilators, and coordinated response of the medical and para-medical teams.
Sharing details about the drill, a Medical official of GMC Bakshi Nagar, said, “All this work is done by our hospital’s mechanical team like maintenance of oxygen cylinders their filling and re-filling”.

“They are in charge of oxygen concentrator plant here” he said, pointing to a man while crossing through GMC’s oxygen concentrator plant room,” he said.
“This is our 20 metric tonnes oxygen plant and this also has a heater in it”, he added.
The covid mock drills across the hospitals in J-K UT are being conducted to check the better preparedness of oxygen plants, ventilators, and beds to combat covid again, if it again takes a lethal form cause recently a covid fatality was reported of a six month child from Rajouri and along with that active cases of Covid-19 are being reported daily.
