Speeding Truck crushes 2 in Jammu
Jammu: A ghastly mishap took place on Saturday when a truck rammed into a motorcycle and severly hurt two persons at Sidco chowk in Samba of Jammu.
As per the report, A speeding truck bearing registration number (JK02C09139) which was heading towards Jammu from Kathua hit a bike (JK21F3736) and critically wounded driver and its pillon rider at Sidco chowk.
After hitting the bike borne duo the driver escaped from the crime scene.
After hitting the victims the truck dragged them under it for some meters on the road and left them critical there, the report said.
The truck crushed the victim’s legs under it and degloved their legs, the report added.
After the mishap, the Samba Highway Patrol police and natives rushed the injured to District Hospital Samba, where after receiving first aid the wounded were shifted to GMC Jammu for advance treatment, the report said.
The onlookers has informed media that a speeding truck came and hit the victims from rear and its driver ran away leaving the injured on the road.
The police has lauched a probe to nab the absconding driver of the truck.
However, the identity of the victims is yet to be ascertain.
