“I prepared a report as apprised by Jagti Camp commandant and went to Relief and Rehabilitation Assistant Commissioner’s office, who informed that they will consider my plea for the same”, he added.

“They assured me that they will allot me a flat and asked me to submit the report and  to come after one month and when I went again after a month my file was missing from the office”, he alleged.

“I try finding it at the relief commissioner’s office but got no luck, then I generated another report and then Assistant commissioner issued a letter apprising me to meet Jagti Camp commandant to inimate him that I live on rent”, he claimed.

“I prepared another file and attached an affidavit with it  and gave it to Assistant commissioner and he rejected my file saying that there is voting card drive going on and I have to wait”, he said.

“After 2-3 months I again visited the Relief & Rehabilitation commissioner office and they only gave me dates to come due to which I lost my job”, he remarked.

“Then Relief commissioner sir told me that they’re going to allot quarters to 80-90 people at Jagti but only after Shiva Ratri”, he told media.

“The flat number 75/14 which they were suppose to give me were given to a cancer patient and there is another one which is locked and vacant”, said, Mr Koul.

“My wife and daughter are suffering because of this and I only earn 9K per month out of which 4000 I pay room rent, how I will sustain myself in this meagre salary”, he said.

“Those people who have recommendations from influential people get flats at Jagti and poor don’t”, he further said.

“There are 300-400 quarters in Jagti colony which are padlocked and their owners don’t live in them cause they are living outside the UT”, he asserted.
