Jammu, March 10, 2023: The Bajrang Dal’s J&K chief Rakesh Bajrangi today allegedly claimed that the recent death of Dr Sumedha Sharma is a matter of “love Jihad”.

Talking to the media, Bajrang Dal’s J&K chief, Mr Rakesh Bajrangi, said, “How this matter has come up hints that there is “love jihad” angle into the case of Dr Sumedha Sharma”.

“Our daughters should learn a lesson from Shraddha’s grisly murder in Delhi, how she was killed and chopped into 35 pieces by her partner”, he said.

“We have been staging agitations in Jammu against “love Jihad”.

“The govt should bring a strict law against this in J-K as there is an angle of “love Jihad”  in this case”, he added.

“A woman of Talab Tillo found dead in Janipur in a youth’s house”, he remarked.

“The police has sent the victim’s body for the autopsy and after the report things will be more explicit”,

“A SIT team headed by DSP Baskhi Nagar  with SHO Janipur along with a police team has been constituted to probe this matter”, he asserted.

“We demand a strict law against “love Jihad” just like U.P state which has framed laws against this and forced religious conversion”, he alleged.

“There are so many such incidents which are happening in J-K and why not our regime is making a law to save our daughters from “love Jihad”, he added.

“From the murder it is clear that first he killed Sumedha and then injured himself”, he further said.

“When the police found Sumedha in the house her body was cold that means she was killed much earlier”, he said.

“Now, the police probe will tell whether the victim was forced to come to the accused’s house or not”, he told media.

“SInce the murder of Shraddha Walker a trend has been running on social media by girls, who are saying our parents are not like him”, he said.

“But I want to say that they are like that and our daughters should be cautious of them”, he said.

On 8th of March, Dr Sumedha (26), daughter of Kamal Kishore Sharma, resident of Talab Tillo (Jammu) was killed by her partner identified as Johar Ganai son of Mehmood Ganai, resident of Bhaderwah (at present living in Pamposh Colony, Janipur, Jammu).

The deceased girl came on Holi vacation and went straight to the accused person’s house where they had a fight with each other over some issue and in a fit of rage, the accused stabbed to death Dr Sumedha with a kitchen knife and later tried to commit suicide by stabbing himself also, as per a report.
