Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir, Sh Manoj Sinha inaugurated new facilities at Jammu Club & congratulated members for carrying out cultural & social welfare programmes.
The Lt. Governor, who is the Patron of Jammu Club, inaugurated Diner Restaurant, Family Lounge & Aakash Roof Top Restaurant in presence of ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh; Divisional Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar (IAS), who is also Vice President of Club and hon’ble members of Jammu Club.
Addressing the gathering, the Lt Governor said Amrit Kaal is opportune occasion to remove all traces of colonial mindset & promote our clubs as a medium for community development & inspire social change. It is time for everyone to introspect because rights & duties are two sides of same coin. We must pay for services wherever necessary so that UT moves faster on development trajectory, he added.
Earlier, Sh. Ramesh Kumar, Vice President, Jammu Club, Jammu gave welcome address and spoke about achievements of Club. ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh was the Special Guest on occasion.
DIG Jammu Samba range Shakti Pathak , DC Jammu Avny Lavasa and Commissioner JMC Rahul Yadav were also there. Gaurav Gupta, Secretary of the Club present vote of thanks to
the Chief Guest LG Manoj Sinha and other Guests for gracing the occasion.
In his address, Gaurav Gupta said since he had assumed the charge near about 13 months ago he received an overwhelmed
support from his team in the completion of the aforesaid new facilities in a record time. He said “We are working under the stewardship of our Vice President Sh Ramesh Kumar with a vision to make this Club a best suitable place for dining and spending quality time with all the modern amenities under one roof. He disclosed that the work of Health Club, Yoga Aerobic Centre and Guest House are in progress and very soon the aforesaid facilities will add one more feather in the cap of Jammu Club.
The Club Secretary said “Once again, I expressed gratitude to Lt Governor for sparing his valuable time from his very busy schedule to inaugurate the aforesaid facilities.”
