Jammu Police arrested several thieves, recovered gold ornaments worth lakhs
Jammu: Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, police have arrested six more thieves, solved four more theft cases and recovered gold ornaments weighing 10 tolas (100 grams approximately) worth rupees 5.40 lac and some other stolen items, yesterday.
The arrested thieves and dishonest receivers of stolen property have been identified as: Mehboob Akhter, son of Shamesh Din of Dodla tehsil, Basholi district, Kathua, Money Lal son of Sat Pal of Gurdaspur Punjab, Rahul Ambadass Raut alias Naina son of Ambadass Raut of Maharashtra at present Sunderbani, district Rajouri, Vikas Kumar, son of Mohinder Kumar of Gurdaspur Punjab, Aman Sambyal, son of Kuldeep Singh of Dansala Mandi Samba and Mujeeb son of Akbar Malik of Samargarden, Meerut (U.P).

Arrests were made from Meerut (U.P), Gurdaspur (Punjab) and different places of Samba and Kathua districts by the teams led by PSI Deepak Sharma, PSI Vikrant Kotwal, SHO Police Station Ramgarh Sudesh Kumar, SHO Police Station, Vijaypur Tribhawan Khajuria and SHO Police Station, Samba, Rajeshwar Singh under the supervision of SDPO, Vijaypur, Priyanka Kumari, DySP Headquarters, Mohammad Usman and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.

Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that total 45 thieves have been arrested by police in Samba district within one and half month and 22 theft cases worked out and stolen items including costly golden and silver ornaments have been recovered during intensive drive against thieves.
Investigation in all theft cases are being conducted simultaneously in highly professional manner and more arrests and recoveries are expected, he added.
