Massive Fire breaks out in Jammu 

 

Jammu: A fire broke out in a car garage in ward no.14 near Kharote Morh, Kathua in Jammu and gutted several cars, yesterday.

According to the report, the incident happened when a massive fire broke in the car garage situated near Kharote Morh in ward no.14 of Kathua and soon gutted four vehicles which were parked there.

After the incident, the fire brigade along with police reached the spot and began a firefighting operation and after hectic efforts controlled the blaze.

“I was in Hatli Morh and then I received a call from a boy, who informed me that fire has broke out in my shop”, said Panjak Kumar, Owner of the garage.

“There were five cars here, two were mine and three belonged to my customers. No one  has died, but I have suffered 10-12 lakhs of loss in this blaze”, he added.

“I was cleaning the garage then suddenly I noticed the fire and soon it started spreading everywhere, I opened the shutters and told the boys standing outside to call fire tenders”, said Ankush, a worker of the garage.

“The fire tenders came and doused the flames”, he further said.
