Terrorist killed in Anantnag encounter, operation still underway
A terrorist has been killed in an ongoing gunfight that broke out between terrorists and security forces in Padgampora Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama, an official said on Tuesday.
An official said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated, thus triggering a gunfight.
During exchange of fire, one terrorist has been killed so far while operation is on in the area.
