The Customs officials at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad seized nearly 15 kilograms of gold, worth approximately ₹7.89 crore, from 23 Sudanese women.
Out of the 23, four passengers were arrested for smuggling gold valued at more than ₹50 lakh.
This is one of the biggest seizures of gold by the Hyderabad Customs at the airport, officials said.
